Workshops Terms & Conditions

We at the Night School know that we don't really like reading lots of terms and conditions and we are sure that our customers don't really like it either so we'll try and keep this page as brief as possible

Booking

Once you've paid for your workshop we guarantee your position on the workshop. In the event that WE (The Night School) have to make changes to either the date/location of a workshop you will be offered a full refund of the workshop fee paid, alternatively we will endeavor to accommodate you onto a workshop at a different time. We limit our liability to the value of the fee paid for the workshop

In booking a workshop with The Night School, you agree that we accept no liability for your property or person, for loss, damage or injury whilst attending, travelling to or from the workshop. We would always recommend ensuring that you maintain an insurance policy on your equipment to cover you for all eventualities..

Cancellation
In the event that you are unable to attend one of our workshops we will offer a full refund unless you cancel within 30 days of the date of your workshop. Should you cancel within 30 days of your workshop, we will endeavor to fill your place on the workshop - in the event of successfully being able to fill your position on the workshop in this instance we would offer you the opportunity to re-book on an alternative date or receive a refund of your workshop fee minus any costs relating to the re-sale of your workshop position

Our workshops are predominantly outdoors and as a result we are subject to weather related restrictions occasionally. In the event we have to cancel a workshop we will attempt to reschedule the workshop to an alternate date. If you are no longer able to attend the rescheduled date you will be offered the option of an alternate workshop or a full refund.

Camera Equipment

In order to get the most out of one of our workshops you need a camera capable of operating in Bulb mode (unlimited long exposure), using a shutter release cable or wireless trigger and a stable tripod. Please ensure that when attending a workshop that you have a memory card, fully charged batteries including where possible spares and a functioning shutter release/trigger. We can accept no liability for failures of your equipment to function normally whilst on a workshop.

Other Equipment
Please remember that all of our workshops are at night so you need to make sure you are prepared for the workshop. We recommend that you bring a torch to ensure that you can see what your doing at all times, head torches are ideal as they allow you to keep both your hands free for operating your camera. In relation to clothing, do take into account the weather, there is nothing worse than getting cold whilst out taking photos so be sensible with your clothing choice, several warm layers are advised, especially in the colder months. We also recommend that your clothing should be dark coloured, as you may end up in front of the camera and lighter clothes could be detrimental to the photographs.

Food & Drink
We do not provide refreshments at workshops, however we do suggest you at least bring a drink to the workshops and a flask of something warm is certainly advisable in the colder months. Please ensure that all waste is taken away with you at the end of the workshop, we like to ensure that we leave our environment in the same condition as we find it.

Accessibility
It is with profound regret that we cannot guarantee that all workshops are accessible to those with a physical/non-physical impairment, if you've any concerns with regards to accessibility of our workshops then please use the contact us form with details of your concerns and requirements, and we will do our very best to try and accommodate your needs where possible.
